‘We were made to be Courageous!’

featured in the film ‘Courageous ‘. As I was sat yesterday, listening to the song I was captivated by the lyrics. This is the first in a ‘Courageous’ based series.

The first verse states ‘We were made to be courageous

We were made to lead the way

We could be the generation

That finally breaks the chains’

I think this is a song for my generation particularly but it’s for everyone who wants to get involved. God didn’t create us to shy away from the mission he has for us. But to stand up for what we believe and to fight for it. We are supposed to lead the way for the other generations ahead of us and behind us. People follow the example that has been set to them. Nowadays the example people tend to follow of musicians and celebrities. But should these be our role models? Are these people we want to be like? Really? We might be the generation that changes things. Everyone believes that their generation to be one that changes things. But what would happen if we chose to believe that we are that generation? If we finally BROKE THE CHAINS; the bonds that tie us down and keep us from doing what God has for us!

  1. Reminds me a lot of ‘The Anthem’ by Jake Hamilton, especially the verse

“This is the anthem of our generation
Here we are God, shake our nation
All we need is Your love
    You captivate me”

Lovely blog Jess, keep it up 🙂
